This is an example store to demonstrate the Stock Plugin for Actinic V10, this plugin corrects the stock level displayed when the Suspend level is set to any value other than 1 and allows stock levels to be displayed in sections containing single product pages.

The Cameras Standard Page shows two products with the normal Actinic display whilst the Single Product Pages demonstrates the plugin.

Stock Levels

There are two different displays of two products, firstly a single page containing two products which show what happens with the standard Actinic system. This displays two products using the standard Actinic Stock Display with Stock levels of 0 and 5 and suspend levels of -99. You will see the displayed values are not the real ones.

The products on this page are duplicates of the real products on the single product pagess thus they take the same stock values.

The second page shows two Single Product Pages (using the technique in the KB). This displays the same two products using the stock plugin again with Stock levels of 0 and 5 and suspend levels of -99. You will see the displayed value of the in stock item is correct and that the out of stock item still allows back ordering.

The products are in two single product pages which can be accessed via the link (more info...) on each section, the stock is displayed in both the parent section and the individual pages.

NOTE these are the real products, the ones displayed in the Cameras Standard Page are actually product duplicates so they are using the same product and thus product stock level.

Component Stock Level

A new extra feature has been added to the plug in to display the stock levels of components either as options on a product e.g. a computer with different accessories, or as options of a product, e.g. colours of T Shirts. Two examples are here on the demo site as Component Stock and as Component Stock Display.

In the latter page the main component is not stock controlled, only the options which are all colours of the same item. In the former page the options and the main product are all stock controlled.

LIMITATION
Display of stock levels on options can only be done using permutations which means that each option needs to be a different component that has just one attribute and multiple choices all linked to products that are stock controlled

Actinic does not allow a single component with multiple attributes each with multiple choices to be used as a permutation. An example of this is shown on the page MultiComponent and as can be seen Actinic displays an error message and will not allow the product to be ordered.
